Nolan Flynn

When you walk in to Nolan Flynn’s show “Upward Obedience” you might be somewhat taken aback at the unfinished nature of the painting. However, that raw, primal energy you feel is exactly the point. During our recent visit with Nolan Flynn he explained;

“I don’t know where a painting ends up going, where the piece will end, or where it won’t end because it kind of exists in this interim. It’s hard to tell if they’re done or if they’re not done. Invariably there’s a lot of intimate experiences, thoughts, and dreams that I’m putting on the canvas to showcase.”
